Leveraging the white-label foundation allowed us to concentrate effort on brand perception.
Context
Blink is a telecommunications company operating in 13 cities across Minas Gerais and widely recognized in the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area for its fiber optic internet services.
With the launch of Blink Mobile, the company expanded its portfolio into the mobile phone market. To deliver a complete experience to new customers, it was necessary to provide an application that would allow them to manage plans, check account information, and perform top-ups in a simple and secure way.
The project was part of the new product launch strategy and therefore had a tight timeline.
The Challenges
The main project challenge was the timeline.
The entire initiative — from requirements gathering to application development — had to be completed in just one month, leaving roughly 15 days for interface design.
Due to the time constraint, we decided that the design solution would build on a white-label I had previously developed. While this strategy accelerated the MVP, it also increased the risk of the app appearing generic and disconnected from Blink's identity.
The challenge, therefore, was to balance delivery speed, visual consistency, and perceived quality, ensuring that customers recognized the application as a genuine Blink product.
The Approach
Given the compressed timeline, the design process focused on activities that would generate the greatest impact in the shortest time possible.
Qualified Research
I started the project by meeting with Product, Customer Service, and Marketing teams to understand the launch objectives, technical constraints, and key customer needs. This alignment allowed us to quickly define MVP priorities and reduce uncertainties during development.
Lean Design System
Rather than building a complete Design System, I developed a simplified structure consisting only of the tokens, components, and patterns necessary for the project. This decision accelerated prototyping without compromising interface consistency.
High-Fidelity Prototyping
All application flows were documented in a high-fidelity prototype in Figma, detailing states, interactions, and behaviors to facilitate communication with the development team and reduce ambiguities during implementation.
The Solution
To meet the established deadline, we leveraged the architecture of a previously developed white-label invoice management application and concentrated design efforts on building an experience aligned with Blink's identity.
Beyond simply applying the brand's visual identity, the goal was to make the app convey attributes already associated with the company, such as innovation, technology, and blazing speed.
To achieve this, I developed an interface inspired by contemporary trends, using glassmorphism elements, translucent surfaces, soft gradients, and dynamic graphics. These choices helped distance the perception of a generic solution and strengthened the feeling of a product developed specifically for Blink.
The application brings together, in a single experience, features for both Fiber Internet and Blink Mobile customers, enabling:
Invoice management;
Checking contracted plans and available benefits;
Access to offers and services;
Credit top-ups for Blink Mobile customers;
Tracking mobile data consumption.

Results and Learnings
The application was delivered on schedule and launched alongside Blink Mobile, currently available on major app stores.
After delivering the MVP, I recommended that the next phase of the project be dedicated to user testing. The goal was to validate implemented flows, identify improvement opportunities, and understand which features would truly generate value for customers as the product evolved.
Later, application maintenance was handed off to another team, which prevented tracking metrics and experience evolution after launch.
This project reinforced the importance of adapting the design process to business context. In scenarios with tight deadlines, making good prioritization decisions is as important as the quality of the final interface. Concentrating effort on high-impact activities made it possible to deliver a consistent, brand-aligned solution ready to support the launch of a strategic new company product.
